Caaaalifornia where the wind comes sweeping down the…
Sure we get strongish yet warm Santa Ana winds every year, but this…this kind of wind event hasn’t happened in ten years. I know this because all the television news stations tell me so.
I’m talking 80 Mile Per Hour chilly wind gusts people…
That’s EIGHTY for those of you that are numerically challenged. Or in shock.
We have been informed that STRONG HURRICANE-LIKE WINDS will assault the Southern California area for the next few days.
But there is no need to panic. No siree.
Just a few minutes ago the area around Lake Castaic got a few gusts around 97 mph!
We lost power at LAX!
We have downed trees and telephone poles!
And where I am…we just had the WORST 15 seconds of wind…ever. EVER. And I’ve lived here for a while.
Even I was scared. And I’m a brave one. Yes ma’am, I am.
Now if y’all will excuse me, I’m going to hide under the covers with a flashlight, a rosary, my teddy bear and a first aid kit…
Stay safe my dear readers.
Mucho love and laughter,
